Latest regret:

"Remorse is the poison of life."

Jane Eyre

I imagine that most people live with a certain amount of regret. For most of us it's manageable; we generally live up to the standard that we've each imagined for ourselves. Right? But I can't stop thinking that on my death bed I'll be disappointed with some of the choices I've made in my relationships and the opportunities I've created for myself. Is there an acceptable amount of regret--and what is it?

I don't have any answers of course, but that doesn't mean I can't ask some questions. And one question I am dying to ask all of you is what is your greatest regret? How might your life be different if you had acted differently? Is it worth thinking about? My hope is that getting our regrets out into the open (albeit anonymously) will be a cathartic experience and might strike a few individuals that come across them. Perhaps they will even act in a way that better represents the people they wish to be.

So the idea of the project is simple. You tell me your regret, and I will think of a way to put it on display on the streets of New York City. I'll document each one I do, so you have a way to find out if yours was picked, and other people can enjoy them online. I'll include a little caption on each piece so that people can learn more about the project as well.

Regardless of what happens, thank you for visiting my humble project, and I hope that you will consider participating. Feel free to contact me about the project, and have a wonderful day.
